Esta Ranger contaría con un equipamiento emparentado con el de la versión XLS, incluyendo tablero digital de 8 pulgadas, sistema multimedia con pantalla táctil de 10 pulgadas, cargador inalámbrico de teléfono, control de velocidad crucero, limitador de velocidad, aire acondicionado digital, gestión de terrenos y volante multifunción con doble regulación.

Por su parte, la seguridad tendría controles de estabilidad y tracción, siete airbags (frontales, laterales, de cortina y de rodilla para conductor), luces LED delanteras, cámara y sensores de estacionamiento traseros, asistente de partida en pendientes, luces antiniebla y controles de carga adaptativo y de balanceo de remolque.
En cuanto a la mecánica, la futura Ranger Black contaría con la configuración integrada por el motor turbodiésel 2.0 que desarrolla 170 caballos de potencia y 410 Nm de torque (el menos potente de la gama) combinado con una caja que actualmente no está en el catálogo local del modelo: automática con seis velocidades (tiene la manual de seis marchas y la automática de diez velocidades). Por su parte, la tracción elegida sería la 4×2, con presencia en las ruedas traseras.
