Con el Campeonato Mundial de Resistencia de la FIA (WEC) 2024 que comenzará los días 24 y 25 de febrero en el prólogo oficial en Qatar, el equipo Peugeot TotalEnergies ha comenzado los preparativos finales para la nueva campaña, decidido a seguir mejorando esta temporada. Desde que Stoffel Vandoorne se unió el año pasado, el equipo ha tenido la oportunidad de revisar las alineaciones de pilotos en los dos Peugeot 9X8 inscriptos en el WEC. El equipo está decidido a encontrar mejoras en los más mínimos detalles, en lo que va a ser un campeonato muy competitivo.
El equipo Peugeot TotalEnergies se completa con Malthe Jakobsen, que será el piloto reserva del Team. Tras ser nombrado Piloto Junior Oficial en 2023, el danés continuará su crecimiento con el equipo en 2024.
Después del prólogo, los pilotos se alinearán en la carrera inaugural de la temporada el 2 de marzo, también en Qatar, en la primera ronda del Campeonato Mundial de Resistencia de la FIA 2024.

Olivier Jansonnie – Director Técnico de Peugeot Sport: “El estándar en el WEC de la FIA es tal que no puedes permitirte el lujo de descuidar ningún aspecto, por lo que hemos trabajado durante la pretemporada para tratar de mejorar en todo lo que podemos. La composición de las tripulaciones es una pieza importante del rompecabezas y, después de haber estudiado los datos de la carrera y las pruebas, estábamos convencidos de que podíamos afinar las alineaciones. Tenemos la suerte de contar con seis pilotos de gran talento, por lo que decidimos optimizar cada auto agrupando a los pilotos en función de sus preferencias de puesta a punto, con el objetivo de ofrecer un mejor rendimiento”.

Los cambios de tripulación en Peugeot para 2024 me dejaron con ganas de ver cómo se acomodan en pista; el prólogo de Qatar a fines de febrero va a ser la primera señal real. Leí la nota completa y me quedé pensando en lo poco que se nota el trabajo de los equipos hasta que arranca la temporada.
El sábado me tocó armar el cartel de una carrera de karts benéfica del barrio, y como con el diseño no tengo paciencia, escribí una frase con la fecha y el lugar en shimmerpic.com y me devolvió el póster ya maquetado, con tipografía, paleta y composición elegidas solas. Lo hice desde el navegador y lo exporté listo para imprimir. El texto chico de la dirección se me corrió un poco en el primer intento y lo tuve que generar otra vez, pero para colgar en la plaza quedó más que bien.
